Flexible Cancellations
Cancellation Policy

- Refunds are available for cancellations made at least 24 hours before departure.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of departure are subject to a 25% cancellation fee.
- No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 2 hours before the scheduled departure time.
- Tickets are non-refundable if the bus departs late due to traffic or any other unforeseen delays.
- Cancellations due to weather or other acts of God are subject to a 25% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations due to medical emergency are subject to a 25% cancellation fee.
- In the event of a canceled bus, Volánbusz will provide a full refund or a rescheduled bus trip.
Smooth Luggage
Luggage Policy
- Passengers are allowed to carry 2 pieces of luggage and 1 hand luggage on board.
- The maximum weight of each piece of luggage must not exceed 20 kg.
- The total maximum size of each piece of luggage must not exceed 180 cm (length + width + height).
- The maximum size of the hand luggage must not exceed 55 cm (length + width + height).
- Passengers may bring items such as baby buggies, musical instruments, and sports equipment, provided they are properly packaged. However, it is advised to contact the bus station before the trip.
- For bulky luggage, a special ticket must be purchased (the cost of which is included in the regular ticket).
- It is not allowed to bring dangerous items, flammable liquids, animals, and weapons.
- Extra taxes for luggage are not applicable.

Pet Policy
- Volánbusz allows passengers to bring their pets on board, as long as they comply with the pet policy.
- Pets must be kept in a cage/container/crate at all times while on board.
- Pets must not be loose on the bus.
- It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure that their pet does not cause a nuisance or disruption to other passengers.
- Passengers must carry any materials necessary for the removal of pet waste.
- The size of the pet and its cage/container/crate must not exceed the maximum size and weight restrictions of the bus.
- Only registered service animals are allowed to ride without a cage/container/crate.
- The following pets are allowed to travel on Volánbusz: cats, dogs, rabbits, rodents, and birds.
- The following pets are not allowed to travel on Volánbusz: reptiles, amphibians, and exotic animals.
