  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If a cancellation is made within 24 hours of departure, the full fare will be charged.
  • On non-refundable tickets, no refund is available if the ticket is not used.
  • If the ticket has been used or partially used, a refund may be available, but a cancellation fee of £2.50 will be charged.
  • If a ticket is cancelled within 24 hours of departure and the cancellation is due to an emergency (e.g. hospitalisation of the traveler), Thirlwells Coaches may be able to provide a refund at their discretion.
  • In the event of a delay or disruption to the service, a refund may be available, depending on the situation.

  • Thirlwells Coaches allows passengers to bring two pieces of luggage plus a handbag free of charge. All luggage must be securely packed and presented for inspection.
  • Extra charges may apply for large and bulky items. Check with the driver before boarding.
  • For safety reasons, luggage must not be placed on the seats or in the aisle.
  • The driver reserves the right to refuse to carry any luggage deemed to be unsafe, dangerous or of an offensive nature.
  • Animals are not permitted to travel in the vehicle, either in the cabin or the luggage compartment.
  • Passengers must not carry any inflammable, explosive, or hazardous materials in their luggage.
  • Passengers are responsible for their luggage at all times and must take care when loading and unloading.

  • Thirlwells Coaches allows passengers to bring pets onboard their coaches, providing they meet the following criteria:
  • All pets must be kept in a secure and well-ventilated pet carrier throughout the journey.
  • The pet carrier must be placed on the floor of the bus and should not obstruct the aisle or any other passenger’s view.
  • The pet must remain in the carrier for the duration of the journey, unless it is necessary to remove it for comfort/safety/relief.
  • Passengers are responsible for cleaning up after their pets, and disposing of any waste in the proper manner.
  • Pets must be kept on a lead at all times when outside of the pet carrier.
  • Pets that are deemed to be a danger or nuisance to other passengers or staff will not be allowed onboard.
  • The following types of pet are allowed onboard: cats, dogs, small caged animals, and service animals.
  • The following types of pet are not allowed onboard: reptiles, amphibians, and any other animals deemed to be a danger or nuisance.
