Greyhound Ticket Cancellations
Passengers can cancel their ticket and receive a refund in the form of a voucher. Cancellations must be made at least 15 minutes before departure.
Cancellation Policy (Valid for Trips After December 16, 2024)
If you booked a trip before November 4, 2024, with a scheduled departure date after December 16, 2024, and you wish to cancel after December 16, 2024, you must contact customer service through chathere.
Standard Cancellation Refunds
Greyhound offers a partial or full refund in the form of a voucher depending on how far in advance the ticket is canceled:

- Extras (seat reservations, baggage fees, etc.) are 100% refundable in voucher form.
- Booking fees and service fees are non-refundable.

Greyhound Ticket Changes (Exchanges)
Greyhound allows passengers to change their ticket up to 15 minutes before departure. This includes modifications such as:
- Changing the departure date, time, or destination.
- Updating passenger details (name corrections, contact info).
- Adding baggage or seat reservations.
How to Change Your Ticket?
- Log into Manage My Booking using:
- Your booking number (found in your email confirmation).
- The email address used to purchase the ticket.
- Select your ticket and choose the change or rebook option.
- If applicable, pay any difference in fare.
- Your new ticket will be confirmed instantly.
Important Notes
- Extras (seat reservations, baggage fees, etc.) do not transfer automatically. Instead:
- The price of these will be applied as a credit to the new ticket.
- If applicable, they may be refunded as a voucher.
- All changes must be completed at least 15 minutes before departure.
FlixBus Cancellations and Ticket Policies
Since Greyhound is a subsidiary of FlixBus, some routes may operate under FlixBus cancellation and rescheduling policies.
Involuntary Cancellations (By FlixBus or Bus Operators)
An Involuntary Cancellation occurs when FlixBus or a partner operator cancels a trip due to:
- Weather conditions or other factors beyond control.
- Operational reasons, including safety concerns.
Refund Options for Involuntary Cancellations:
Passengers can reschedule their trip at no extra cost. Alternatively, passengers can request a full refund in the form of:
- A voucher refund (always available).
- A monetary refund (only for tickets paid with cash, credit card, PayPal, or Google Pay).
FlixBus and its partners are not obligated to reimburse additional travel costs if passengers choose to book alternative transport with another provider.
Voluntary Cancellations (By Passengers)
A Voluntary Cancellation is when a passenger cancels their own ticket. The refund policy follows the same time-based refund structure as Greyhound:

- Passengers must cancel online or at a ticket office (bus drivers and customer service agents cannot process cancellations).
- Refunds are provided in the form of a Cancellation Voucher (no cash refunds for voluntary cancellations).
Rescheduling FlixBus Tickets
Passengers can reschedule their ticket up to 15 minutes before departure.
- Rescheduling must be done online or at a ticket counter (not by drivers or customer service agents).
- When a ticket is rescheduled, FlixBus first cancels the original ticket and applies the refund amount toward the new booking.
- If the new ticket is more expensive, passengers must pay the difference.
- If the new ticket is cheaper, the remaining balance stays on the Cancellation Voucher.
General Refund Policy

Refunds for Delayed Trips
Passengers are eligible for a full refund if:
- The bus is delayed by 120 minutes or more at departure.
- Passengers must submit a refund request through the Customer Service Portal.
Refunds for Unused Tickets
- If a customer does not cancel or reschedule their ticket at least 15 minutes before departure, the ticket is forfeited, and no refund will be issued.
Refunds for Service Fees and Payment Processing Fees
- Service fees and credit card processing fees are non-refundable for voluntary cancellations or ticket rescheduling.
- If a ticket was canceled involuntarily by Greyhound or FlixBus, service fees will be refunded.
