Go Buses is committed to providing accessible transportation for passengers with disabilities and reduced mobility. This guide outlines the policies, available accommodations, and important details to ensure a comfortable and smooth journey.
Accessibility Commitment
- Go Buses complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to ensure that all passengers receive equal service.
- Passengers requiring assistance are encouraged to notify Go Buses at the time of booking to ensure proper accommodations.
- If advance notice is not given, Go Buses will make a reasonable effort to assist, subject to availability.
Wheelchair and Mobility Aid Accessibility
- All Go Buses are wheelchair lift-equipped.
- Passengers can remain in their mobility aid during the trip if the bus has designated space.
- Weight Limit for Lift: The maximum weight allowed, including the passenger and mobility aid, is 200 lbs.
- Lift Platform Size:48 inches long x 30 inches wide.
- Wheelchairs must be secured in the designated area on the bus.
Boarding and Assistance
- Passengers with disabilities should arrive early and inform staff if assistance is needed.
- Drivers will help with boarding and securing mobility aids.
- Priority Seating: The first rows are typically designated for passengers with disabilities.
Service Animals
- ADA-compliant service animals are allowed onboard free of charge.
- The animal must remain under the passenger's control and cannot block aisles or seats.
- Emotional support animals (ESAs) are not permitted, as they do not qualify under ADA regulations.

Oxygen and Medical Equipment
- Personal-use oxygen containers are allowed onboard but must be in active use.
- Oxygen tanks must not block seating or aisles.

- Passengers who require a personal care assistant for assistance during the trip may bring a companion.
- The companion must purchase a separate ticket.
