General Luggage Allowance

Carry-On Luggage

  • No strict limits on the number, size, or weight of personal luggage.
  • Luggage should be stored in overhead racks, under seats, or in designated storage areas.
  • Passengers should be able to carry and handle their luggage independently.

Checked Baggage Services

SBB offers a range of luggage services for hassle-free travel across Switzerland.

  • Standard Luggage Transport.
  • Express Luggage Service.
  • Station-to-Door and Door-to-Door Service.

Bicycle Policy

  • Regular Bikes: Require a bicycle ticket (Half Fare).
  • Folding Bikes: Considered hand luggage if folded and stored properly.
  • Bike Reservations: Needed for InterCity, EuroCity, and international trains.

Special Luggage
