Samar Pet Policy

For passengers traveling with pets, Samar has set clear guidelines:

• Pet Size and Transport Requirements: Small pets (domestic cats and dogs) can be transported provided they travel in secure carriers/cages which must fit under the seat or in the dedicated luggage hold.
• Duration and Seat Purchase: For journeys over eight hours, pet transport is generally not permitted. Passengers should purchase a separate ticket or seat for their pet where applicable.
• Documentation: Valid vaccination and health documents for pets are required at the time of boarding.
• Guide Dogs and Emotional Support Pets: Guide dogs trained for people with disabilities can accompany passengers free of charge without a carrier, provided proper documentation is shown. Emotional support pets require specific authorization and proper documentation beforehand.
• Embarkation Requirements: Passengers traveling with pets must board early to ensure a smooth boarding process; pets should be calm and not disrupt other passengers.
• Passenger Consent: Should a passenger aboard object due to allergies or other valid reasons, Samar may restrict pet boarding to respect passenger comfort and safety.
