Ecolines Europe Bus Baggage Policy
Carry-On Baggage
- Each passenger is allowed one piece of carry-on baggage that must be stored under the seat or on the overhead shelf.
- Carry-on bags must not obstruct the aisle of the bus.
Checked Baggage
- Passengers are allowed up to two pieces of checked luggage free of charge.
- Size and weight limits:
- One large bag: Max dimensions 50 x 50 x 80 cm (including wheels, pockets, and handles).
- Two smaller bags: Each should not exceed 65 x 30 x 45 cm.
- Weight limit:30 kg per bag.
Additional or Special Baggage
- Extra baggage: May be accepted for an additional charge, subject to available space.
- Special items (e.g., bicycles, sports equipment, musical instruments) must be approved in advance and may incur an extra fee.
- The carrier is responsible only for transporting luggage and not for its contents or condition after arrival.
Can I Bring My Bicycle on an Ecolines Bus?
Yes, bicycles may be transported in the luggage compartment if space is available and the following conditions are met:
- Pre-approval Required: Passengers must confirm availability before departure.
- Additional Fee: Transporting a bicycle incurs an extra charge.
- Disassembled & Packed: The bike must be dismantled (wheels removed) and packed in a special bike bag or box.
- Size Restriction: The total dimensions must comply with Ecolines’ luggage compartment limits.
- Weight Limit: Subject to the 30 kg per baggage unit rule.
How to Book a Bicycle Spot?
- Passengers must contact Ecolines customer support in advance.
- Availability depends on luggage space on the selected route.
- The bicycle fee varies depending on the route and departure location.
Restrictions

đźš« Tandem bicycles or oversized bikes exceeding the size/weight limits will be refused.
