Erfurt Central Station

Nice train station. Easy access to all trains. Nice terminal building with shops and restaurants. Also located close walking distance to other shops and restaurants. Enjoyed my visit. Always love the train stations in Germany.

Loved it. One of the largest in Thüringen i think. Hub for big trains like ICE and the city is a hub too. Busy streets and supermarkets. The station has many platforms and all forms of train stops here. Clean and well maintained. Has elevators, escalators and security checks. DB information office too.

A major transit station with connections to major parts of the city and other nearby cities like Magdeburg, Leipzig,Ilmenau, Nordhausen, Würzburg etc..

Its a mid size train station with connections for regional as well as long distance trains. There are some shops and eateries too offering some variety. Fast food, asian, cafes, turkish to name a few. The thing which I dont like is that the numbering of platforms is extremely confusing and people tend to miss their connections searching for platforms when connection time is less. Also it takes a lot of time (more than 6 months) to install/ repair a lift, so it is always inconvenient for disabled people or for people carrying heavy luggage.

Clear signage and helpful information displays made finding my train a breeze. In addition, the staff I encountered were friendly and knowledgeable, eager to assist with any questions or concerns. Moreover, Erfurt Central Station boasts a variety of amenities for travelers. From cafes and shops to comfortable seating areas, the station offers everything one might need during their wait. The free Wi-Fi was a particularly welcome touch, allowing me to stay connected while waiting for my train. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Erfurt Central Station to anyone passing through the area. Its cleanliness, helpful staff, and convenient amenities make for a pleasant and stress-free transit experience.
