Southeastern Stages Pet Policy
Southeastern Stages has strict pet policies, and only service animals are permitted onboard. Below are the details regarding traveling with animals.
Service Animals (Allowed)
Southeastern Stages welcomes service animals that assist passengers with disabilities. The following rules apply:
- Definition of a Service Animal: A guide dog, signal dog, seizure response dog, psychiatric service dog, or any other trained service animal that assists a passenger with a disability.
- Traveling Conditions:
- Service animals must be under control at all times.
- They must remain on a leash, harness, or in a carrier unless it interferes with their service function.
- No Additional Fees: There are no extra charges for bringing a service animal onboard.
- Seating Arrangements:
- Service animals must sit at the passenger’s feet or in their lap.
- They cannot occupy a passenger seat.
Non-Service Animals (Not Allowed)
- Pets are NOT permitted on Southeastern Stages buses, including:
- Dogs
- Cats
- Birds
- Any other domesticated or exotic pets
- Emotional Support Animals (ESAs): Not classified as service animals and are NOT allowed onboard.
Additional Guidelines for Service Animal Travel
- Passengers are responsible for their service animal’s behavior and care during the trip.
- If an animal is disruptive (e.g., barking excessively, behaving aggressively), Southeastern Stages reserves the right to deny travel.
- Passengers may be asked to provide documentation confirming the animal’s service status.
