RegioJet Pet Policy

RegioJet allows passengers to travel with small pets and service animals under specific conditions.

Small Pets on Domestic Routes

On domestic bus services in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, animals are allowed for free under these conditions:

• Pets must be placed in a secure carrier box, cage, or bag with a waterproof bottom designed for animal transport.
• The carrier must be kept on the passenger’s lap or under their feet throughout the journey.
• The pet must remain inside the carrier for the entire trip.

Small Pets on International Routes

Animal transport is allowed only on selected international services:

• Berlin – Dresden – Prague – Brno – Vienna
• Prague – Brno – Bratislava – Budapest
• Prague – Brno – Vienna
• Prague – Dresden – Berlin
• Kraków – Ostrava – Brno – Vienna
• Bratislava – Vienna – Budapest

Conditions for International Travel with Pets

• Only small pets up to 10 kg are allowed.
• The pet must remain in a secure carrier box, cage, or bag with a waterproof bottom throughout the journey.
• Required documentation (including vaccination records) must be presented if necessary.
• Pets travel for free but must be booked in advance due to limited space.

On all other international routes, pet transport is prohibited, except for guide and assistance dogs.

Service & Assistance Dogs

Allowed Free of Charge on all routes:

• Guide dogs for visually impaired passengers.
• Assistance dogs for passengers with disabilities.

Conditions for traveling with a service dog:

• No pet carrier is required – the dog may travel at the passenger’s feet.
• The dog must wear a proper label and harness.
• The dog must be accompanied by a person with a ZTP/P card or a certified trainer.
• The owner or trainer must ensure the dog does not dirty or damage the vehicle or disturb other passengers.

Restrictions

Pets NOT Allowed on Board:

• Large pets over 10 kg.
• Aggressive or dangerous animals.
• Exotic pets such as snakes, rodents, or birds.
• Animals on non-listed international routes.

Important

• Advance booking is required for pet transport, as space is limited.
• Passengers are responsible for their pet’s behavior during the trip.
• Pet carriers must not block aisles or inconvenience other passengers.
