The problem with most places in Italy is the limited washrooms and the cost to pay. Usually 1 euro to 1.50 euro. On some stations for cinque terre, it’s one toilette for men and women. Given the amount of tourists, this is unacceptable infrastructure on the part of Italians. A significant amount of taxes are collected for hotels, fees for toilettes etc. stop acting like the fall of Rome and make some serious effort to show passion for efficiency.

This station has a fair amount of seating and places to eat inside. But the single toilet is a pay toilet. One pay toilet for an entire train station!? They also do not post platform numbers until 5-10 minutes before departure making it a bit annoying when trying to find a place to sit while waiting for your train. Do I sit and possibly miss my train or do I stand with the masses staring at the marquee for minutes on end waiting to find out my platform number? That is the question.

Clean and easy to navigate station
Could get jam pack during peak time, so its best to use the trenitalia apps to check your train information

Smallish train station, does NOT have baggage storage in the train station. However, if you walk down a bunch of stairs and down a block or two there is a business, World Services, who will hold bags for €5/bag per day. The stairs to get up/ down the underground to most platforms are crowded/ narrow, at least during the days in summer that we were there.
