Dresden Central Station

A big, beautiful station, like everywhere else in Germany. A lot of trains, buses, and it's conveniently close to the centre. A lot of different places to eat and drink.

In Dresden I was here was only for two days trams and buses always get late by 2-4 minutes it’s very common here its very common to lost ur connecting trains in this city

Absolutly nightmare for tourists. When i wanted to buy a ticket from here so everybody told me to use machine which was in german... Do you even consider that not all people speak german ? Nobody there couldn't even speak english so when i asked where should i find my train i got answer "Just a little english"... i mean this is quite big train station and this standard is ridiculous... I managed to buy tickets through internet application but my train number didn't correspond with train which came.. (it was 100% the right one because it came from exact location and in exact time). My number IC2910 and number which came IC2550. I also found another confused people going in circle and not understand what is happening there.

Easy to navigate train station. Available seats for waiting on departure. Good food options if you are hungry.

The main train station in Dresden and currently undergoing renovation, although all the facilities seem usable. There's lots of shops here, many of which are located in the lovely arched passage with the steel arches visible below the glass. It's fairly easy to get a ticket with either the manned booths or automated ticket machines. I thought the station and platforms were confusing to navigate unlike the usually straightforward stations in Germany and there was only one departure board that I could see. The station is also a useful connection point as many of the trams also stop right outside the station. Fine to use, but hardly an architectural masterpiece of design or engineering.
