The museums and attractions open at 10am and close at 6/7pm. Please note that last admissions are, in general, at 5.30 (Pavilion of Knowledge) or 6pm (Aquarium) on Winter Schedule and that the museums are normally closed on Mondays - except the Aquarium.

Garcia de Orta was a Portuguese Renaissance physician, herbalist and naturalist in the 1500s. He was a pioneer of tropical medicine who worked mainly in what was the Portuguese overseas territory of Goa in India.
The Aquarium is a journey in itself. It has a large number of marine species from all over the globe and its architecture is somewhat peculiar. It’s the world’s second biggest aquarium and Europe’s largest indoor aquarium.
