  • Luggage Policy for Renfe:
  • Passengers can bring 2 pieces of luggage and a carry-on bag per person, with a maximum weight of 25 kg per piece.
  • Extra luggage can be carried, but there are additional taxes per unit and the maximum weight per piece is 32 kg.
  • Luggage must be labeled with the passenger's name and contact information.
  • The following items are not allowed to be brought on board the Renfe: weapons, explosives, flammable substances, hazardous materials, drugs, and animals.
  • Luggage must not exceed the maximum size allowed (200 cm). Any piece of luggage exceeding this limit will be subject to additional taxes.
  • Any additional taxes for the transport of luggage must be paid in cash.

  • Pets are allowed to travel on Renfe in France, provided they are in a pet carrier or cage.
  • The pet carrier or cage must be big enough for the pet to stand and turn around.
  • The pet must be identified by its owner with a valid vaccination certificate.
  • The pet must be accompanied by its owner at all times.
  • The pet must be well-behaved, quiet and not disturb other passengers.
  • The pet must not interfere with the comfort or safety of other passengers.
  • Pets that are allowed to travel on Renfe include cats, dogs, small caged birds and small rodents (e.g. hamsters, gerbils, mice).
  • Pets that are not allowed to travel on Renfe include reptiles, amphibians, ferrets, and any other pet that might be deemed dangerous by the train staff.
