The bus that we rode on was a little tight the people that I wrote before my trip from New York City to Baltimore was somewhat inconsiderate reclining chairs before finding out who was want to sit behind them the representatives and the online booking of my trip was horrible I booked my trip thinking that I have booked for round trip tickets and on my way home discovered from the representative at Megabus that I only bought tickets for One Way very horrible experience no believe that I would recommend Megabus to anyone

The trip from memphis to Dallas was horrible first off the bus was two hours late, and the older short driver with the glasses was very very rude!

Paid for megabus to Chicago but bus was not affiliated with megabus, bus was falling apart on inside one seat was not usable to it literally falling off track hitting the lady behind it, driver was lost multiple times and we got in an accident before we even made it out of Detroit due to his poor driving. Bus on my return trip to detroit was not a real megabus either and we're currently sitting in Ann Arbor with a flat tire and no eta to detroit not a good first experience.

Firstly, the 6.35pm bus was 2 hrs late I left work ,had a connection of which I was very late... finally we reached our my destination at 3am.Also my sister had to stand with her knee and back problems for all this time.

Have used ir 3 times. Only once did the driver make any announcement about the trip apart from which destination we had reached. Got off the bus on way to New York to find our seats taken by somebody else then had to scramble to find another 2 seats which weren't together.

No shelter was there for my family and me and we got wet! Could be very dangerous at bus sites when you have luggage. Bus employees said we would be on the next bus and he drove off and left us standing outside.

I missed the bus because mega bus changed the schedule. They claimed they notified me via email but I checked and never received an email. I wouldn't have even been able to make the 8oclock ride because I was just leaving work at 8. Then, I called customer service and received no compensation whatsoever; they couldn't cancel the return trip or credit it to another trip, and megabus changed the schedule for my other trip that I booked at the same time as this one and also received no email. I asked the customer service rep to please send me the email of the other schedule change and I have yet to receive it. I asked to speak with a manager and she would not let me speak with one. Horrible experience. I was incredibly crushed because I am traveling for a wedding that is tomorrow and now have to drive down. I was so excited about not having to pay gas or drive down because I normally fall asleep while driving long distances. It was a terrible let down that did not end positively. It would have been nice if I was even remotely compensated with a credit.

I waited for my mega bus to come to the Boston bus/train station for over 2 hours and the mega bus guy told everyone on my bus that if we waited 2 hours or more we can get a refund on our ticket if we call mega bus customer service. I did indeed waited 2+ hours for our bus to arrive. Therefore, I called mega bus customer service and told them what happened and what the mega bus guy had told everyone and the customer service person told me I cannot get my money back I can only get another ticket and it will be on mega bus. I proceeded to tell them that is not what the mega bus guy told us. The customer service lady kept on interrupting me when I was trying to talk and tell her what I needed to say. I am really frustrated with the customer service of mega bus. If the refund was only for another ticket mega bus and their employees should be on the same page with their refunds and etc.

The punctuality of the bus was awful, but when the bus came through, the staff and the customer service was exceptional. The company did keep me informed with emails about the delay. Unforeseen circumstances happened before my trip, but Megabus made it right by sending another bus with people that had a great personality, and empathized with the customers. The bus (Worldwide Tours - Adam) was clean and comfortable.

I made reservations for my elderly father they dropped him off at wrong stop also on the way back from trip they left him because the connecting bus came early this was devastating because he had to wait 6 hours outside until another business came in Chicago! I'm so upset about this!

The bus is clean and comfortable but I'm cold natured so I carry on a blanket. The driver was informative and friendly & curteous. The bus was punctual even with road construction going on in a couple of places along the destination. It is very economical for me because I'm usually traveling solo. I'll be using it again.

We were delayed for more than one hour and kept in a long queue in the hot New York sun. When the bus finally arrived exactly 1 hour and 10 minutes behind schedule, I thought our troubles were over until we reached Baltimore, where we the driver announced that his working hours were over and that we would wait for another driver to relieve him. After almost 20 minutes waiting, there was still no driver. When another Mega Bus arrived and the driver offered to take afew of us in his bus, we were all delighted. But he announced that he could only take 11 passengers. He later agreed to take 3 more and I was lucky to be among the three. Finally we arrived in New York well passed midnight. It was a very poor service. No wonder I chose Greyhound for my return journey, which was very pleasant!Stephen

Since Megabus arrived in US land in 2006, started with a very aggressive approach to market, offering a low cost express bus service to travel intercity starting at US$ 1. Megabus is known as a greater bus operator and an affordable travel option, and has already served more than 40 million passengers along its service begun. Today it serves about 120 bus routes by cities in North America, throughout the eastern, southern, midwestern, and western areas, also crossing borders to Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec.  

In recent years in United States, Megabus bus service started with daily routes from Chicago to Ann Arbor,  Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, Detroit, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Louisville, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Pennsylvania, St. Louis, State College and Toledo. After that, in 2007, expanded bus service to Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Tempe - Arizona, partnership with Coach America. Some of California routes was discontinued in late 2008 by low passengers volume. Expect nothing less than a affordable and reliable bus services, with professional drivers and staff offering a high level of comfort and safety, a clean and well maintained fleet.  Megabus is the first company to use double-decker buses to carry passengers intercity in the United States. Equipped with free WiFi, power outlets and as well as a panoramic view comfortable reclining seats restroom, safety belts, wheelchair accessibility and more.

Be aware that in some cases, strict regarding operational reasons, the company may need to substitute a replacement single decker bus with which may not offer all default known amenities. Also rest stops are provided on longer trips.

For confirmation, an email will be send to your e-mail box. If you provide a cell phone number on booking process, a SMS confirmation for $ 0.25 will then be send.

Over Phone
Call the number 1-877-GO2-MEGA (1-877-462-6342)  and use your credit card to conclude transaction. Only major credit cards accepted, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. All prices are shown in USD.

This service is available only for U.S. customers, and will be charged at the same rate as made online but will be a extra charge of $5.00 reservation fee.

DEALS & DISCOUNTS

All Megabus prices and fares start as low as US$ 1.00! But it is limited. Fares always vary by chosen day, travel time and advance from trip date booking. Also an high demand for seats can influence. For all reservations a US$ 1.50 fee will be charge.

Promotion Codes
From time to time, Megabus will open special promotions running it in local or national campaigns, giving out discounts for who has this promotional codes, which can give you a better deal on reserving your bus trip.

Children Free Tickets and Discounts
There isn’t discounts for children in Megabus, and requires to have a reservation for each one. Unaccompanied children under the age of 17 are not permitted to travel.

Student Discounts
No students discounts are available in Megabus.

Military Discounts
No military discounts are available in Megabus.

Senior Discounts
No senior discounts are available in Megabus.



TICKET REFUND AND EXCHANGES

No refunds or credits will be given in instances where customers miss the bus; however, reservations can be changed up until 24 hours prior to departure.

Once you completed online buying process and reservation, this cannot be canceled or refunded, but they can be traded in for another bus trip up to 24 hours before your original scheduled departure.

To reservation trade in, it must be completed online and more than 24 hours prior to bus departure of the actual reservation. Also a US$ 2.50 fee is charged for every trade. The previous bus ticket cost will be applied and credited to this new reservation. If the previous bus ticket price is lower than the new one, you will have to pay the price difference.

But remember, all exchanges are available according to schedule availability.



IMPORTANT TIPS

Boarding on Bus
All boarding procedure takes about 15 to 30 minutes before departure. Please be aware and arrive at stop point at least an hour before departure. Be prepared for the weather if your arrival or departure location is outdoors. Dress for weather conditions, maybe bringing an umbrella or for hot days using light clothing and refreshing beverages.

Make sure your luggage is less than 50 pounds and doesn’t exceed 62 inches. Have your reservation number handy and ready to present to bus driver.

Pets on Bus
Animals aren’t allowed on bus, with exception of trained service animals that assist disabled customers

Travelling to Canada
Have with you a valid U.S. passport, because a photo identification will be required to get inside Canada by bus.

Travelling to United States from Canada
All passengers will not be permitted to entry into the United States without proper Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) compliant travel documents. Please check the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Website for more details on requirements for leaving or entering the U.S.
