S-ban and U-ban platforms are well maintained and information is available on the display board with specific timings as well as the route map is available. However, catching the IR, ICE and TGV trains require a detour and can be challenging especially for the new comers and disabled.

If you travel around Germany you will notice that this one, is one of the most dirty train stations in Germany. It dirty, full of dust and drunk smelly persons. Under -1 level smells everywhere dirt and pee. Sometimes train plan isn't correct. They promised to build the new train station between 2-3 years but only in dreams that can be true. It's the 3 year and the construction is in the beginning. People have to walk 700 m to switch normal trains to take S train.

Terrible staff. I had trouble figuring out how to purchase a bike ticket. The info center was closed and no indication on the ticket machine neither. I asked an older woman and man in their DB uniform. They simply refused to help me or guide me through it even though I politely asked SO MANY TIMES. With a very cold attitude, almost like bullying, they told me I cannot get on board on the train I’d purchased a ticket for because I didn’t have a bike ticket and they just refused to help me figure out. Not to mention, I missed the train. They are so rude and unwilling to provide costumers with quality service. Why they can’t do a simple customer service such as my experience with DB when that’s the ONLY task they’re required..?

It offers a long eternal walk in between short/long distance train station and Ubahn/Sbahn. Keep 15 minutes in hand if you are changing between aforesaid trains.

Horrible week with cancelations and long walks from the S-Bahn to your long distance trains, This is the time to avoid Stuttgart all together.
