Strasbourg

The glass exterior of the train station is beautiful, all by itself worth visiting. The station is charming, loads of simple to read signs everywhere. These are a coupe of shops for you to grab some food or last minute amenities. The platforms have a vending machine for some drinks. The platforms are massive, though missing enough seating areas. The entire station is covered, hence cool on a super hot day like today.

This train station is very unique. It has a massive glass dome to cover the historic facade. The inside of the train station has many spots to grab food. This station is a little bit confusing to navigate. At times the station is very crowded. The station is well connected to the city with trams, bike rentals, parking garage, and buses.

I used this station to take a short ride to Offenburg, Germany in May 2023. The originaly station structure is wrapped by a huge glass dome so as to protect from further natural corrosion, I guess. The train station is right at the centre of the beautiful Strasbourg and you can have direct connections with local trams & buses. The facilities inside the station are well maintained and with clear & large display panels showing train dep/arr information. Staff is very helpful.

Nice station with clear instructions and indications of train, schedule, platform. Love the night look of the train station as well.

Nice place and people, very beautiful, not cheap though so bring spending money.
