Gare de Villeurbanne

Very beautiful station which serves as a stop for tram line T 3. This stop allows you to go to the market on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are also local shops. Butcher bars etc....

This T3 tram station is adjacent to the old Villeurbanne SNCF station, prettier than the modern tram stations. It has a TCL transport ticket machine and seats. It is also covered. It is located right next to a former TCL parking lot which is now open to all and never full. Young people from the neighborhood have made this parking lot their gathering place. They are quite often noisy and rowdy, sometimes on scooters or in cars, or even in vans. But I never saw them bother anyone or damage a vehicle. Be careful, the parking lot is occupied by the market two or three times a week. The Gare de Villeurbanne stop is right in front of the Intermarché store. It's convenient for running an errand heading towards the center. This station is only 3 stops from Gare de la Part-Dieu and a few from the Soie shopping center. A Vélo'v station and a used glass container are right next door.
