A station which has lost a lot of its activity, mainly a goods station and whose warehouses are now demolished. In terms of activity for travelers, the Limoges/Angoulême line remains but partially closed until the end of 2023 due to work. However, the line still serves as far as Saint Junien. It also has a footbridge which spans the railway tracks, saving local residents a long detour, as a terminal attests. Note that the main entrance to the Station is closed, and is through the door on the right side.

Station not as pretty as that of the Benedictines but I had to do in these with very nice and courteous agents! At those of the Benedictines, I didn't have to ask for anything so I can't give an opinion.

Also called the Gare des Charentes, this railway line once made it easy to reach Angoulême. At present, it is better to favor carpooling for a Limoges-Angoulême journey insofar as with the SNCF, it takes twice as long: a train is offered to Saillat, then from Saillat a coach which goes through all the small towns, stopping at the stations. This is due to work planned for several years on the line. The inhabitants are eager to see the end of this work and the return of the direct line, because at the time of the greater New Aquitaine region, many regional organizations (resulting from the grouping of the former regions) are planning meetings in Angoulême, this city being about an hour (by car) from the three former capitals, Bordeaux, Poitiers and Limoges. Otherwise it's a very convenient station when you live nearby, closed most of the time so it's better to take your ticket online on the phone or printed. Good to know: Post office mailbox just in front.

Limoges freight station, next to the transport authority (bus). If you look closely, you will come across an ancient "grant office" which was used to collect taxes when entering the city. It was a long time ago!
