Hamburg Central Station

Great. I one of the best train stations in Europe. From here you can connect to almost every point of Europe by ICE trains. Moreover, from here you can take a bus, underground train (U-Bahn) or suburban train (S-Bahn) to connect to any part of the city including the international airport of Hamburg using S1 train. Also this station is located on few kilometres from the city center.

If you intend to make short travels from-to, I recommend the Deuche Bahn (DB) app! Super useful! Note that going to the airport - you should board the first 3 vagons of the S1 on platform 1. Otherwise... Humongous train station. Every 3 minutes a train leaves and another arrives. It's super busy and yet seems to flow. A LOT of signs, you just need to pay attention to them and take your time to read the info tables. It has a lot of quick food options and is generally well structured. The ticket machines are easy to operate, but you won't need them if you use DB app. In Germany there are local trains, ICE/really fast trains, and instead -of-subway trains, like the S1 going to the airport.

This is very old but modern train station here. You can get all the modern facilities.

Definitely one of the best train stations in Germany. The tracks are very easy to locate. The support staffs here are very friendly. Travelling is made easy and fun here.
