Estación de Sevilla-Santa Justa

I boarded the train at the Sevilla-Santa Justa train station to go to Madrid. The inside of the train station was clean and quiet and I liked it and when I asked the staff for directions I got a good response. They were very kind. Although I was waiting for a short time, it was a good place to stay. The inside of the train to Madrid was also spacious and clean.

Main railway station in Seville. Large car park at the front and beyond it you will find bus stops to take you into town. Station has a reasonable collection of shops and eating places together with seating. Toilets are free. There are two depart/arrival boards so make sure you are looking at the right one. Access to platforms is either via lift or ramps so no hassle of using stairs with luggage. On longer distance trains, you will go through a security check so expect to be held at the top of the ramp until security staff are in position.

Ticket machines are virtually useless if you are from another country. Doesn't take cash has no slot to insert your card (yet has a pin pad) and the contactless doesn't work at all. Ended up buying tickets on the train line because the queue for the tickets was rammed full of people and very slow. Buy your ticket online or you will miss your train trying to figure out the enigma of the renfe machines

Santa Justa train station is so clean with good lighting and facilities as you can see in the pictures. It's easy to find your way and your train at this station. The place offers a few option for quick meals (not so many options, I only saw one selling coffee and bakery so far). There's McDonald if it's really urgent for you to find food. You'll feel safe as there are security people around who also provide information if you need it. I was travelling to Cordoba for a day trip. One can buy the ticket online or via machine or at the ticket counter at the station. All in all I felt comfortable waiting for my train at this station!

Poor signage. Also, Sr. Manrique kept trying to sell more expensive tickets, falsely claiming no seats in tourist class (untrue) and ultimately sold ticket for wrong train time.
