Bolzano/Bozen

Nice enough train station. It's located just 5 minutes from main city square. It has automatic ticket booths, as well as humans available. Small cafe and newspaper stand also. Relatively easy to find your way around. Restrooms on site.

Peaceful City with Naturally and Fresh Air

VERY busy train station located in the central part of Bolzano. This station has all manner of travelers rushing through from Business people to hikers, bikers ( with bikes) to massive amounts of school children to grandmothers and mothers heading into Bolzano to go shopping. Views of the surrounding dolomites abound The bus depot to catch all buses into all of the surrounding towns and hamlets is located directly north of the station---very convenient!!!

Low and grimy platforms with gravel and litter filled planters, not much seating but all under cover. Station building itself looks old and well used. Difficult for cyclists to get on and off the trains

Travel by train is so much fun and very different than our travel experiences in the states. Plus you get to go really fast!! This train station doesn't offer much other than food and beverages.
